Spring has finally sprung! After a rollercoaster of weather here in Indiana these past couple of weeks, it feels like a breath of fresh air to see the gentle breeze and smell the sweet blossoms all around us. And you know what? It's got me feeling ready to enjoy joys this new season.

As a homeschool mom, I love having the opportunity to incorporate our faith and. beauty of the season into my daughters education. So, in the spirit of celebrating the beauty of spring and God's abundant blessings, I've put together something special for you and your family: the Spring Bliss List BUT first let me share why spring is so special.

Why Spring Is Extra Special with Kids:

  1. Curiosity Blooms: Children are natural explorers. Their wide-eyed wonder at the first crocus peeking through the soil or the intricate patterns on a butterfly’s wings reminds me to slow down and savor the details. Homeschooling allows us to dive deep into these curiosities, turning every observation into a mini science lesson.
  2. Bible Lessons Under the Sun: Spring invites us outdoors, where the sun warms our faces and the breeze whispers ancient truths. As we picnic in God’s creation, we read Psalms aloud, marveling at how the same God who paints the sky with hues of pink and gold also cares for the sparrows.
  3. Hands-On Learning: Whether we’re planting seeds, measuring the height of tulips, or identifying bird calls, spring offers endless hands-on learning opportunities. Math, biology, and art blend seamlessly as we sketch blooming flowers or calculate the growth rate of our tomato plants.
  4. Nature as Our Classroom: Our backyard transforms into a classroom without walls. We learn about ecosystems by observing ladybugs and ants. We study the water cycle as raindrops pitter-patter on our palms. And when a rainbow arches across the sky after a spring shower, we discuss God’s covenant with Noah.
